Like many organisations, UEGA suspended all of its regular events during the course of COVID-19 lockdown measures. Now that many of these restrictions have been lifted, we are looking forward to resuming our events, beginning with our biennial St Andrew’s Night Dinner. The St Andrew’s Night Dinner will be held in the St Leonard’s Hall, Pollock Halls,

Edinburgh, on Saturday 27 November from 6.30 pm to 10 pm. Meet for drinks and canapés in the St Leonard’s Foyer at 6.30 pm and then enjoy dinner from 7 pm in the St Trinnean’s Room. 

In order to try to maintain some form of social distancing, the event will include a served meal rather than the usual buffet. Menu:

Starter: Citrus cured Scottish salmon with avocado purée, pink grapefruit & asparagus salad (GF) (DF) (WF)

Main Course: Roast loin of Scottish lamb, potato terrine & aubergine caviar, radicchio lettuce & autumn vegetables (GF) (DF) (WF)

Dessert: Blacketyside berry & mint bavarois, shortbread biscuits & vanilla sauce (V)

Appropriate Scottish musical entertainment will be provided during the evening. Our after-dinner speaker will be the University Rector, Debora Kayembe.

Dress code: Black Tie or Highland Dress

Tickets are priced at £65, which includes wine at the reception and with the meal.
